A short animation inspired by the paintings of Rene Magritte, bringing a selection of his iconic works to life through motion.
This project came from a genuine interest in Rene Magritte's surrealist work. The brief gave me the freedom to explore motion in a personal direction, so I chose to animate a series of his most recognisable paintings, giving them movement while staying true to his visual style.
Assets were sourced and edited in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, referencing Magritte's original paintings. Animation was done entirely in After Effects, focusing on subtle, dreamlike movement that felt consistent with his style.
